wood based products for architectural and commercial applications,
but we are also an innovative developer of new products and
services for the art, architecture, commercial and industrial markets.

Our Traditional Business Bourne Industries
Inc.
manufactures laminated panels, fabricated
components, and assemblies for a wide range of industrial,
commercial,
and retail customers. Most of our products are made with wood
cores and
decorative overlays, but we work with many combinations of required
core and surface materials. We support the design and
development of
components, we produce prototypes rapidly in response to
customer
needs, and we specialize in short lead time production for both
small and large orders. No independent
laminator or
component
manufacturer in Michigan provides a broader range of
laminated panels,
components, and assemblies.

Our Innovative Business This
childrens' chair, which doubles as a display case for retail
merchandise (the back is an open display area), is a prototype that we
developed for the Disney Stores. For this display we manufactured
image receptive laminates that were capable of being post-formed.
We then had the laminates imaged through a process called
dye-sublimation to produce the eyes, the beak and the mouth. Then we
manfactured the chair/display to meet a load requirement of 400
