Bourne Industries was founded in 1977 to produce panels with decorative plastic surfaces for office furniture manufacturers, mobile home and recreational vehicle manufacturers, cabinet manufacturers, and millwork houses. The principal products were particleboard panels with high pressure laminate faces and panells with thermofused decorative plastic surfaces. We had one cold press to apply the high pressure laminates to wood cores, and one hot press to thermofuse decorative faces to particleboard and MDF. The plant had a useable area of approximately 25,000 square feet.

Today, Bourne Industries has expanded to over 50,000 square feet and offers a broad array of laminated panels, components, assemblies, and specialty products and services to a wide range of customers. We still have a large core business involving the lamination of decorative surfaces onto wood based cores, but now we work with many more materials, we service a more diverse set of customers, and we offer a large number of value added services. In fact, our business is now based largely on the production of components and finished products that require knowledge of specialty adhesives, CNC machining, assembly of components into semi-finished and finished products, and packaging for both RTA and fully assembled products.
